The championship golf course is designed by Paul Thomas and features 18 holes, with a choice of five tees on each hole. The par-72 course plays to just under 7,000 yards and throughout the 18 holes you can enjoy views of both the ocean and the Al Hajar Mountains.

The 18-hole golf course is designed Graham Marsh Golf Design and opened for play in 1969. At first, Ras Al Hamra was a sand course but it has since been redesigned and now features trees and native shrubs. These have been planted throughout the 18 holes and add some colour to the rocky surroundings.
